Modi To Sign US-2i Amphibious Plane Deal On Visit To Japan, To Be Integrated With Weapons Systems in India


Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to sign the $ 2 billion deal for 12 US-2i amphibious planes from Japan, on his visit to Tokyo beginning end of this month.   The plane will be used for recce, surveillance , search and rescue. It ill come from Japan with Japanese avionics, EW and surveillance systems but will be integrated with weapons in India ( most probably to be done by HAL).
