Defence Services Staff College, Wellington Achieves ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 Certification

India’s most illustrious joint Defence Training Institution, the Defence Services Staff College (DSSC), Wellington, has, since its inception, been a centre of excellence for military studies in the world.  Its alumni list includes several iconic leaders from the Defence and civil services, from India and all over the world.

DSSC has always maintained exemplary standards in training blended with the very best traditions of the Armed Forces. In recognition of the highest professional standards in quality attained by the College, ISO 9001:2008 certification has been awarded to DSSC.  It is the only international certification, in conformity with quality standards recognised globally.

Furthermore, the DSSC is proud to also receive the ISO 14001:2004 certification for adopting and maintaining outstanding administrative standards and also achieving ecologically sustainable practices within the Wellington campus.  DSSC has always been at the forefront of the global movement towards adopting innovative eco-friendly measures and has in the recent years instituted practices for achieving mitigation of carbon footprint in the Nilgiris district, through a system of effective environmental management.

This is a proud moment for the Defence Services Staff College to be one of the few organisations in India to be certified for both ISO 9001 as well as ISO 14001. On this occasion Lieutenant General SK Gadeock, Commandant DSSC said, “We have further enhanced the cause of this premier institution and this is a historic moment of great pride and honour for the Indian Armed Forces. We are determined to move ever onward with our prescient outlook, accentuating higher levels of excellence and pristine glory”.
