Wreath Laying Ceremony At War Memorial In Chennai For Navy Day 2015



The Indian Navy celebrates Navy Day each year on fourth December to commemorate the glorious victory of the Indian Navy in the Indo-Pak War 1971 and to salute the variant heroes who brought us this moment of pride.  The wreath laying ceremony originally scheduled on 04th December 2015 was postponed due to the rescue and relief operations during the recent floods in Chennai and the same is being carried out today (22 December 2015).

Lieutenant General Jabir Singh, General Officer Commanding, Dakshin Bharat Area, Rear Admiral Alok Bhatnagar, Flag Officer Commanding Tamil Nadu & Puducherry Naval Area along with the serving and retired officers at Chennai laid the wreaths on the War Memorial at Rajali Salai, Chennai today (22 December 2015).

Wing Commander Hemraj, Air Force, Commandant Ambetkar, Indian Coast Guard, K Kaliappan, Honorary Lt (Retd), President, Veteran Sailors, Forum, Chennai Charter, Commodore N Susindranath (Retd), President, Navy Foundation, Chennai, Commodore S Sekhar (Retd), Chairman, National Maritime Foundation and  Commander Joydeep Ghose, Senior Officer Present Afloat are also participated in the wreath laying ceremony.
