Valedictory Ceremony Of Certificate Course At College Of Defence Management Secunderabad

Valedictory function of the first ever certificate course on ‘Social Awareness & Life Skills for Responsible Citizenship’ in collaboration with Osmania University (OU) was conducted at College of Defence Management (CDM), here today.  The aim of this multifaceted course was to enable participants to contribute effectively to the organisation & the society at large by enriching their intellectual capital. Dr (Mrs) Paramita Dasgupta, Director General Administrative Staff College of India was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

The course was jointly conducted by the Faculty of CDM and Political Science Department of OU. Speaking on the occasion, Rear Admiral Dushyant Singh Chouhan,Commandant CDM, applauded the participants for walking the extra mile to learn something new and displaying the zeal and diligence to enrich their individual and collective capabilities.  He expressed confidence that the newly acquired skills and knowledge would enable the participants to contribute successfully to their surroundings and society at large. Rear Admiral DS Chouhan also thanked the OU and the Political Science Department for having proactively contributed in the planning and conduct of the course.

In her Valedictory address, Dr (Mrs) Paramita Dasgupta, Director General Administrative Staff College of India, congratulated the participants for successfully completing the course.  Further, she highlighted the importance and value of various facets of Life Skills, Self-Awareness & improvement, Financial literacy, environmental & waste management, responsible citizenship etc. covered during the course for the participants, both for self-improvement to become better human beings as well as for empowering them to become greater contributors to the world around them be it at home, in the organization or the society. The participants were awarded Certificates by Osmania University after submitting individual project reports to the university as part of the course curriculum.
